| | Of course it RAINED many of the days at sports camp as well as at the Closing Ceremonies. |
| | We had a GREAT Camp at CYM Oselia in Ellenville, NY, August 16th to the 29th. It was a small camp( allot of kids start school early ) 25 kids, 5 councilors, plus 11 Members of the Command. We had Ukrainian Dancing, Ballroom dancing, Glass Painting, Bandura, Singing, Pysanky -Ukrainian Egg Painting, Gerdany-Bead weaving, Vyshyia - Embrodery, and Mystechke Slovo - Poetic Recitation. The Camp Celebrated Independence Day Aug.24th with a beautiful Concert where we only had 5 day to teach, learn and perform, also we had an End of Camp Concert and Show of Art Work on the 29th. The Children also performed at the Sunday Afternoon Labor Day Concert at Oselia CYM in Ellenville. |

| | On June 7, 2009, at St. Micheal's, in Jenkintown, PA. |
| | I finally got around to setting up a craft room for Pysanky and any other project anyone does in our family, and this year we all got together on Good Friday and made Pysanky all day. I also taught the Art of Pysanky for several classes at Wheaton Village, which is a Museum Town, in Millville, NJ. and some Art Clubs here in South, south, south, south, Jersey ! ---just between you and me---The State of New Jersey and its inhabitants give you the impression that the state ends at Camden, and it has a tail on the eastern seaboard with Wildwood, and Cape May at the end, noooooo, there are several BIG county's and many beautiful areas down here on the Delaware River side across from Wilmington, and I'm 1 hour south of Camden, and there's still one more county below me !!!! |
| | This is this years version of my "Yalunka" and Nativity.I just managed to brake the wings off the Angel "flying" over The Stable ! Things happen:( But on a Happy-er note, now that all the cooking is done-and frozen- I will try to bake some Medivnyk and Strutsli tomorrow !!!! ;) |
| | For the first time - since I haven't been able to find a job - this Christmas I've been able to build a display for my large collection of Dept.56 "Christmas in the City" village houses ! Special "Thanks'' to my older nephews who brought down the seven GIGANTIC BINs down from my garage loft, and my 4 year old nephew Mari, who made me unpack and show him EVERY house, accessory, tree, and little light(and how they work) at one of his visit way back in the beginning of November !! It took several weeks of moving furniture, setting up styrofoam platforms and tables, and placing electical wires, but I finally finished the 15 foot display last week. As you will notice, some of the buildings and statues have been"customized" |
| | On the way to the hospital my mom's in at the moment, these are some of the farms and beautiful houses by my house on Kings Highway in Gloucester and Salem County in South ( south, south, south, south ) Jersey ! |
| | Now, that we live where the dear and the antelope play, we take part in all the small town activities. This is the local Fourth of July Parade, later on after dark, we will have Fireworks. The American Flag is being carried by my Brother-in-law, marching with the VA Post. After the parade, everybody was invited to a big BBQ behind the local Police Station, complete with games for all the kids to enjoy ! |
| | These are more of Darka's flowers from her garden! They are specktacular! |
Happy Birthday ! Mno-high-ya Lita ! And many, many more !!! Love, Stepha

| | We went to one of the horse farms down the road for a "Open Barn" (like in open house)and saw some beautiful Arabian, and mixed Arabian horses! We had a great time! They invited us back when the kids(my little nephews) come over!My niece (in the red blouse) is going to take riding lessons there. |
| | I found this handmade booklet amongst my Dads belongings as we were packing to move. The dates are from 1921 and 1922. The sketches and hand writing are beautiful! They quote Ivan Franko, and Taras Shevchenko, and the first one is in Polish - which I can't read ! I'm trying to track down with the family members that are left, who were these people ! I have found that these are written to Nusia, and one is signed your brother Zenon, but so far we haven't had any luck ! |
| | Some of the best picture that I'v transfered onto my I-Photo Album from hard copies. |
